Three Synchronized Construction 3D Printers at Mella
The Mella shopping center demonstrates how multiple construction 3D printers can be coordinated on a single commercial project. Its printed wall system was produced by an AMTG customer using three synchronized AMTG G2 gantry construction 3D printers.
The completed structure combines long commercial elevations with curved architectural geometry. Using three systems in a coordinated workflow allowed the customer to organize printing across a larger project area while maintaining a consistent digital production process.

Coordinating three construction 3D printers
Large commercial structures require more than a large print envelope. Equipment positioning, print sequencing, material delivery, digital files and operating procedures must be planned as one connected workflow. The Mella project shows the practical value of coordinating several gantry systems rather than treating each printer as an isolated machine.
The modular G2 platform is intended for high-reach, large-format concrete printing. For projects of this scale, the printer configuration and production plan must be matched to the geometry, site conditions and intended construction sequence.
A customer-led construction project
Mella was independently developed and constructed by the equipment owner. AMTG manufactures construction 3D printing systems and supports customers in preparing equipment and workflows for their intended applications. AMTG does not act as the general contractor for customer projects.
Structural engineering, printable materials, reinforcement, foundations, permits and construction decisions remain under the control of the customer and the responsible professionals appointed for the project.

Equipment supported by a complete workflow
A construction printing system is not only the printer. Depending on the agreed configuration, an AMTG equipment package can include a synchronized mixer and material pump, as well as a power generator. AMTG can also assist with print-file review, commissioning, operator preparation and ongoing technical consultations.
Customers can also benefit from access to the experience accumulated by other AMTG equipment owners who have completed real projects. This owner community helps connect equipment selection with practical operating knowledge.
What Mella demonstrates
- Coordinated operation of three AMTG G2 construction 3D printers
- Application of concrete 3D printing to a commercial building
- Production of long elevations and curved architectural forms
- The importance of equipment configuration, file preparation and material delivery as one workflow
- The ability of customers to scale construction printing beyond a single machine
