The AMTG G4 is a project-engineered large-format gantry construction 3D printer designed for industrial-scale printing directly over prepared foundations. Its independent support structure, expanded working envelope, and coordinated material-delivery system are intended for demanding residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial applications.

Built for large on-site construction

The G4 uses a Cartesian portal architecture to move the print head across a nominal working envelope of approximately 26 × 26 × 12 m. The printer supports are independent from the foundation of the structure being printed, giving the customer’s project team greater flexibility when planning foundations, access, utilities, material handling, and the construction sequence.

Steel and aluminum-alloy structural components combine strength with reduced moving mass. A new controller configuration, updated electrical hardware, and automated preparation and delivery of printable material create a coordinated platform for professional operation.

Digital construction workflow

  1. Assess the project concept, required print envelope, site limitations, utilities, and regulatory pathway.
  2. Review the approved geometry and prepare machine-ready toolpaths.
  3. Prepare foundations, independent printer supports, access, utilities, and the material-handling area.
  4. Assemble and align the gantry, commission controls, calibrate the system, and complete dry-run testing.
  5. Qualify the selected material and verify extrusion, layer geometry, adhesion, and dimensional accuracy.
  6. Print in accordance with the approved design, reinforcement plan, and quality-control procedure.
  7. Complete conventional reinforcement, infill, openings, MEP systems, roofing, finishes, and inspections as required.

Materials and project engineering

The G4 is designed as a flexible construction-printing platform rather than a closed proprietary-material system. Printable materials may include qualified cement-based and gypsum-based formulations. The selected material must be tested for pumpability, extrusion stability, early strength, layer stability, interlayer bonding, durability, and the environmental conditions of the project.

AMTG manufactures and supports the equipment but does not act as the builder, structural engineer, architect, material supplier, or contractor of record. Final structural design, reinforcement, materials, permits, site execution, safety, quality control, and code compliance remain the responsibility of the customer’s qualified professionals.
